Spanish Lessons Valdosta began in 2024 as a God-given dream—an opportunity to use our passion for languages and meaningful connections to serve others. What started as a vision has grown into a learning space where students not only develop Spanish language skills, but also a deep appreciation for diverse cultures.
We specialize in one-on-one instruction, tailored to meet each student's unique goals and learning style. Our mission is to build bridges through language and help every student succeed—academically, personally, and culturally.
Our dedicated team serves students ages 5–18 and offers personalized lessons in:
- Conversational Spanish
- Homeschool Spanish
- Beginner Spanish
- Spanish 1 and 2
- Academic Tutoring for Spanish
Each student receives a full curriculum, with required books and materials to support learning beyond the classroom. Students receive an individual learning plan on how to reach their goals. Lessons are also supported through Google Classroom, where students can access additional resources, activities, and guided practice between sessions.
At Spanish Lessons Valdosta, we are committed to helping students grow in confidence, language fluency, and cultural awareness—one lesson at a time.
Meet the Owner: Destaney Velez
Hi! I’m Destaney, and I’m passionate about language, culture, and connection. I grew up in a multicultural home where hearing Spanish was part of everyday life, and that early exposure planted the seeds for a lifelong love of language. I began learning Spanish at age 15 and quickly knew it was something I wanted to pursue more deeply.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish in 2023, where I developed not only my Spanish but a deep appreciation for the richness of Hispanic cultures. After graduation, I began teaching Spanish to students in grades K–8, which allowed me to blend creativity and structure in helping children gain confidence in a second language.
To deepen my knowledge and impact, I went on to earn my Master’s in World Languages with a concentration in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). This advanced training gave me a strong foundation in language acquisition theory, instructional strategies, and cultural responsiveness.
Today, I bring both academic expertise and real-world teaching experience into every lesson I offer. My approach is rooted in immersion, personal connection, and a genuine love for helping others learn in a way that’s meaningful and fun. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on what you already know, I’m here to help you grow with confidence and joy.

Spanish Lessons Valdosta offers lessons in English and Spanish.
For optimal results, it is best to take lessons 2-3 times per week in Spanish. These times can be divided into daily minute 30 sessions. Each lesson lasts 1 hour.
Lessons are offered in different schedules to fit your needs. We have morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options available.
